Milkmen Valiant, but Lose 8-4
By Jason Howarth
It was a tightly contested Monday night showdown, and the Milkmen came out swinging early and capitalizing on a wild pitch to secure a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Milwaukee would be tied up, but would reclaim the lead off an RBI single by Garrett Copeland in the third. The Milkmen would lose the lead in the fourth, but Adam Walker takes another ball deep for his 18th homer of the season in the fourth inning.
Sam Dexter drove in a run for Milwaukee in the ninth in an attempted rally. Derek Reddy continued his hot bat streak, extending his streak to eight games, and going 3-5 on the nightcap.
Starting pitcher, Joey Wagman, pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing 9 hits, 6 runs, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts.
